DwarfCorp

DwarfCorp is an open source colony management sim, greatly inspired by Dwarf Fortress. With 3D environmental graphics and 2D sprites for characters, combined with a free-floating camera, the player is given a uniquely free view of their game world.

Development Status

While this game is open source and available on GitHub, as well as commercially on Steam, it appears that all development has ceased, despite the reported persistence of bugs and issues across multiple platforms. It's also reportedly difficult to build from source, despite attempts to port it from XNA to MonoGame.

Mature Content

The game has a mature content warning, due to the giblets left by the dwarves when they die. They can also remove their armor and clothes, to become "almost completely nude", though I'm not sure if this really counts as nudity, as the cartoonish art style already qualifies as a pixelation filter.
